This article is for the mount armour. If you were looking for player armour made of fur, see here.

Warg armour looks and acts similarly to horse armour, but is equipped, obviously, on Wargs. Remember that you have to tame the Warg before you can equip it with this armour.

There are currently three variations of Warg armour: Isengard, Mordor, and Angmar. If you hire Wargs from any of these factions, they will be wearing that faction's armour.

Crafting[]

Warg amour used to be crafted differently before Public Beta 20. See here for the old recipes.

The three types of Warg armour can be crafted on their respective crafting tables using six of the respective ingots and one piece of leather. The recipe shape is arranged like that of horse armour.

The list below shows the various types of Warg armour and the ingot and crafting table need to craft them.

Isengard Warg Armour: Requires Uruk steel ingots on a Uruk crafting table.

Naturally spawned Wargs[]

All Gundabad and Utumno Wargs spawn without armour, since these factions don't have any Warg armour available. Naturally spawned Mordor, Isengard, and Angmar Wargs may be wearing armour, but only if they're being ridden by another NPC. In this case, about one in ten ridden Wargs will be wearing armour. Armoured Wargs are much harder to kill than normal Wargs, so take this into consideration when fighting Wargs.
