Venison is a food item, added in Public Beta 27, and is dropped by deer and elk upon death.
Uses[]
When consumed raw, this restores two 
hunger points and if firstly cooked in a furnace or Hobbit oven will restore eight 
hunger points. Upon cooking venison, one gains the achievement "Oh, Deer!".
Obtaining[]
Venison, can easily be found throughout Middle-earth within various structures and as a common drop from deer or elk. It can also be found, as a drop from other NPCs such as Hobbits.
As of Update 34, venision can also be obtained from a White Oryx in the Gulf of Harad.
