I'm living in Gondor. My Banner protects my land, so no orc can ever enter my land. But Gondor units keep spawning in my house, and also in my farm. That simply annoy's me. So why there's no option in the banner's gui to allow/forbid allied units to spawn? I want to suggest this function.

    Would be grateful about feedback.

    • Banners stop spawning of the enemies of that factions banner, so the only way to stop spawning of Gondor units is to use an enemies banner. Anyways, sorry there is no way to stop allied mobs spawning.

    • I know there is no way to do this! So I posted this in suggestion forum!

    • Good idea, honestly it is a tad bit strange when an NPC randomly strolls into your house or top secret base, which is implied by an NPC spawning there. (However this is the opposite case for taverns so i fully support the option bit

    • Oh sorry I thought it was a question not a suggestion. Anyways, it would be a nice feature.

    • Potentially useful and original feature. Despite the many many proposals regarding banners in the past, this has not yet been brought up before.

For reference, here's a few selected endorsed threads that may be of interest when considering the proposal in the first post here:

      [Endorsed] Advanced banner options

      [Endorsed] Neutral and Custom Banners

There are quite a few more endorsed threads regarding banner functionality though.

That's not true, Orcs can wander in from the outside. The same would be the case with friendly NPCs in your buildings with the advanced banner option: They wouldn't spawn there, but would be able to open doors and wander in. But your option would reduce the amount of NPCs a lot, including the lag induced by them.

Your right. But my "house" is more a fortress than an house. It has walls and moats on every side an one big grass plain in the middle. The Gondor units keep spawning there. And no Orc has ever enterd it. But thats not the point. This Discusion is about an banner setting and not my "house".

Perhaps a bit off-topic, but one possible fix for now might be to use dirt halfslabs there.
