Dagorlad (Sindarin for battle plain), is a desolate land, devoid of life, consisting of a large Mordor gravel desert, with occasional boulders, and not much else. There is no food or water for a very long distance, and it is not a very good place to be. Dagorlad was the final piece of desolation caused by Sauron's Orcs when, fleeing the victory of the Last Alliance at the Black Gate, they poisoned and polluted the land. Dagorlad is bordered by Mordor to the South-east, the Brown Lands to the North, the Dead Marshes to the West and Ithilien to the South-west. Nothing but charred trees generates here anymore.
Upon entering Dagorlad, the player earns the achievement "Battle Plain".
Not many mobs previously spawned here, but as of recent updates, Mordor Orcs do spawn here.
- Mordor Orc - Evil Orcs of Mordor, equipped with Orc armour, and armed with (interchangeably) scimitars, spears, battleaxes, daggers, warscythes, or warhammers.
- Mordor Orc Archer - Mordor Orcs equipped with bows.
- Mordor Orc Bombardier- Mordor Orcs with bombs. Very destructive, and when the bomb has been used, the bombardier will switch to a dagger.
There is no grass in arid desert of Dagorlad as the scorched topsoil consists of gravel. You can dig out some fertile soil underneath though, but water is also very hard to find. Only witnesses of the former fertility of the land are a few charred trees. Next to the Near Harad desert and the Forodwaith, the Dagorlad can be considered to least hospitable environments of Middle-earth.
